Sorting Waste

Sorting waste has become increasingly important for financial reasons as well as for reasons relating to climate change.

No organic or paper waste should be taken to a waste disposal site since they produce methane and thus warm the atmosphere. For this reason, the price of mixed municipal waste taken to waste disposal sites is getting more expensive. All waste management costs are covered by the residents' rents.
   
Everybody can do their share by sorting all their waste correctly. Print the sorting guide here (in Finnish) and put it up on your refrigerator door. Then start making changes one at a time.

Sorting can even become a new hobby for you!
